… AND BY THE END OF THE NIGHT, EVERYONE HAD GONE DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE
Like Alice, Kelsey is one of those rare and amazing people whose magnetism and drive allows her to live in a world of her own creation. For her wedding, she wanted to create a whimsical dream in which she was jointly Alice and White Queen and her friends and family would be able to join her in a meta-Victorian fantasy world. The florist Saipua masterfully transformed the Highline Hotel into a regal ballroom fully outfitted with all of the detailed trappings that would have astounded even Lewis Carol.
After the main reception was over, guests could take a “Drink Me” potion which seemed to help magically transport them to a Late Night Manhattan Wonderland that had been set up at the club at The Maritime Hotel, complete with masks, Mad Hatter papier-mâché heads, and Cheshire Cat.
Kelsey and Steve considered it good luck when one of the papier-mâché heads caught fire but was quickly doused with an extinguisher. The smoke and dust added to the mysterious atmosphere…
